The junior professorship in energy efficient building takes over the continuation and development of the GANE network.
Originally the Chair for Environmental Architecture (LSKA) and the Universities of Oldenburg and Freiburg have decided, with the support of the DAAD Alumni Network, to set up the alumni network for the energy sector.
In a first step, the Web-based network German Alumni Network was established by the Energy GANE LSKA, which have already enrolled more than 100 alumni. For Sub-Saharan Africa, there is currently a regional control center of the network GANE which shall be located at Mbeya Institute of Science and Technology. Even alumni from Korea and Greece, who participated in expert workshops, and graduates of the area "Energy-Efficient Building" the Faculty of Civil Engineering are now networked accordingly.
The aim of GANE is to enable an ongoing exchange and contact former students with a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
